Anshul is such an Interesting guy. I knew, when I met him a few years back, that he would have some amazing stories and boy did he!!! We had a conversation about his butterfly art work, about how he was almost beaten to death in Mexico and many more exciting stories. I love his philosophy about life and family. Episode 77 – Dragos Paunescu
I was very excited to do a podcast with Dragos. He is a young actor that I met a couple years ago when I had my daughter in a local acting class. You know when you meet someone that stands out from the crowd? Well… This is what I thought about Dragos. He stood out from the crowd!! He recently graduated from the Vancouver Film School and I can’t wait to see what he does in the near future!! This podcast was a blast.

I got to do my first podcast with local rapper Charles Woodman and his producer Aiden Johnson. These are a couple of young men that grind. It not an easy job working your way into the Calgary rap industry but they are well on their way. I love their innovation and hard work to put out their art. Episode 75 – Christine Taylor
This episode went all over he place. Christine Tailor is a local jewelry maker to the stars!! She has done custom lines of jewelry for a Jann Arden tour, the CCMA awards and the Golden Globe awards. She also works part time for our local food bank as the communication manager. Now this is where is goes off the rails… We somehow started talking about kill kits, serial killers, and why she can’t watch movie where the characters might smell bad. I had a blast talking with Christine. I know you will love this episode. I am looking forward to getting to know more about her.
Episode 74 – Tina Petrow
Tina Petrow is a passionate woman with a heart for her community. She is new to politics and feels like she has been drinking her political education through a fire hose. We talked about Airdrie’s goal of being a blue zone. The city wants to encourage it people to live long and healthy lives. We discussed recycling, LGBTQ and parenting. I believe she exposed some of my ignorance on these matters and help enlighten me. Tina changed my views on city politicians. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed talking to her.

Episode 72 – Sex in the YYC
Sex In The YYC is an online blog by an anonymous person that lives in Calgary. She shares her personal feeling, her life situations and her sexual experiences in her very explicit journal. She does this anonymously because she doesn’t want her stories to affect the people she shares life with. She is a phenomenal writer and has a very adventurous life. We don’t go deep into her sexual experiences but we do delve into her reasoning behind the blog. I really enjoyed meeting her and you will as well. Please, give this episode a listen.
Episode 71 – Heath Kai
It Is Surprising that Heath Kai and I haven’t crossed path before now. We have several friends in common and I believe we have a similar mind set. Either way I am happy we final met, recorded a podcast and got to hang out out for a bit. Heath is a dad, a burger Connoisseur, a hunter, he is well spoken, fun to be around, a great singer and been on a challenging journey. I can’t wait to see what I find out about him next time. Even though the podcast was only an hour and a half, we have a life time to get to know each other.

I am so happy that I am shameless at inviting people on the podcast. I got to meet the very cool, the very driven, the very fun, Geoff Freeborn. I had a blast hear about his road to professional baseball pitcher for the Vipers. We discussed life, coaching , training, family and a little neurology. I feel like I ended the podcast way to early. After we shut the mics off we ended up talking for another hour about some more cool things. We may have to relive that, next time he comes on.

How adventuress is Michelle Carre? Michelle is one of only a few people from our generation that was truly born and raised in Airdrie. A true Airdronian!!! Man did I enjoy hearing about all the things she has done in her life so far. She is a women in business, a mentor, public speaker and co-founder of a non-profit called Airdrie Angels. I cant wait to hear what she does next. Oh, did i mention she does a video cast with her husband called “Riding in cars with Carres”.

I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to meet and get to know Artist Serena Love. You can feel the passion and love in the art she creates, you can hear the compassion in her voice. So I posted pictures and rave review. Several of the performers like, or commented on my post. So I message them and Emmi Bjorn responded. She is a super well spoken young lady from Finland who is a free style footballer. I enjoyed learning about her home country, her family and the how she got the spot on Luzia!! I dare you to follow her trip to the top of the world!!

I hadn’t spoken with my good friend Nathan Bueckert in a few years. He had moved to another city, gotten married, bought an acreage and wrote a book. There are some people that you can spend weeks, months or even years apart and nothing changes between you. The relationship takes off exactly where you left it. I believe you can hear the friendship in this podcast. Oh, did i mention that He wrote a book. “Blood and Gods”. The premise and story line sounds amazing. Well…. I got to geek out a bit with a very intelligent woman of business. Amelie Caron is the founder of Eco Synergy. Amelie has been in the Construction, Energy Performance and Sustainability Industry for over sixteen years, spanning back to Quebec in 2001, with the EnerGuide for Homes program. She is an Architect Technologist, and completed her Masters in Building Science from Danube University in Austria. She is particularly skilled in creating and building cost effective, eco-friendly, high performing homes, multi-units and commercial buildings.

I am starting to realize how much I love creative people. Jasen Fredrickson is a hilarious stand up comic that has been touring for 20 years. We talked bout almost all the important subjects, parenting, the history of comedy, religion, depression, divorce and many others. I could hang with this guy everyday. Unfortunately we both have day time jobs that prevent it. After we recorded I went to his show and watch him murder in Calgary’s own Laugh shop. I love the friendships that are growing from recording podcasts. David Harder was originally on the podcast back in August of 2018, episode 12. David is very open about being raised Christian and his transformation away from the faith.David has found his spirituality in and with psychedelic medicine. Davis is very motivated to bring awareness to the benefits that Mushroom, LSD,MDMA and DMT will have in the healing of humanity. Even though this is only the second time I have had a conversation with David I feel like he is very open about his journey and that helps me be more open. I Want 2 Know about Psychics, Mediums and Spiritual healing. After asking the great and mighty internet, I got a message from Christine Gold, 24K Healing. I was very skeptical about what and who Mediums were as people. I had the perception that Psychics were scammers that only wanted to take money from people that are hurting or lost. I did not get that feeling with Christine. I believe she is a very caring and intuitive person that wants to help people thought difficult times. She describes how she honed her skills with her mentor. We talked about how everyone has the ability to be more intuitive if they had the desire and practiced. She did not come across as mystical or all knowing. She came across as a person that is trying to better the world the way she knows how. We also discussed social standards for men and women, ancestry, ego and a few other topics. I definitely want to know more about her as she grows in her craft. I look forward to the next time I get to sit down with her.

I Want 2 Know about Hypnosis. I had a good friend, Niki Middleton (model/actress and all around great person) , refer me to Jamie Pruden A.K.A Sebastian Steel hypnotist/ comic. I was hoping to find out how hypnosis works, and I did. But there was so much more to this man. He started the conversation with the story of his suicide attempt 21 years ago. Then He proceed to read a song he had written about suicide. After my producer and I fought back the tears and realized the greatness of the man in front of us we continued with the show. Jamie continued the story of how he revived his stage career, started showing his art (paintings) and watch his mom pass away in hospice. Listening to Jamie’s stories made me aware on how much this podcast means to me. I get to sit down with amazing people hear their stories and share it with the world. I get learn something new and hopefully gain some life time friends. I am blessed to meet Jamie, I deeply hope to learn more about him and the work he is doing and become life long friends. P.S. Episode 52 – Paul Nye
I Want 2 Know more artists. Paul Nye is a local artist that does amazing air brush work. The first time I had the pleasure of see Paul’s art is fell in love with it. I drew me in instantly. I have had a few of his art pieces in my home for a couple weeks now and I find myself caught up in the details of the art. He is now adding tattooing to his tool belt. This is actually the second podcast I have done with Paul but the first had some technical issues and we agreed that we didn’t wan to put it out. So we got back in the studio and recorded another one right away. I think we covered almost all topics that two guys can in one two hour sitting. Give this one a listen…. you wont be disappointed!!

I Want 2 Know more about and inspirational man, Bob Wilke. I got to hear Bob speak at a luncheon put on by the Airdrie Chamber of Commerce. I was very impressed with what he had to say and how he presented himself. So much so, that I was relentless in my pursuit to have him on the podcast.
Bob played hockey for most of his life. He ended up playing in the NHL for the Philadelphia Flyers and the Detroit Red Wings. He had some hard times in the NHL, but most of his hardships stemmed from being involved in a horrific bus crash when he was 17 years old. He saw some of his team mates die that day and that can damage a young man. It took Bob nearly 27 years to get himself straightened out. Hear how he did it, and how he is helping other young athletes.

I have had a few mistakes this year. I did this podcast by myself. It has been one of my fears in this last year. My fear was that I would fail at my goals. My podcast goal was to do 52 episodes with new guest. I had a goal that each podcast would be a minimum on one hour and a max of two hours. Well I failed, but I am not quitting. Due to technical difficulties I am not uploading the podcast I recorded last week. So I had to do this one my self. I Want 2 Know, Kevin Davey!!! Boy did I get to know him. Kevin was born in England and emigrated to Canada. He is a local actor, best known for his roll as Patty Quinn in “Hell On Wheels”. I will remember him most for his openness about his life. What a great guy. Kevin describes, in depth, how he lost his wife to a drunk driver. Describes the pain of the loss, raising children as a single dad and the challenges of getting back on the dating market. He describes his, now adult children, with the upmost pride as they conquer life after loss.
I think I could have easily ran this podcast for 2 more hours as we discussed what its like to be on the set of a big budget TV show, the difference between Japanese Jiu Jitsu and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the difficulties with being an actor in Alberta. Give this episode a listen and I am sure you will love this guys!!

I want 2 Know more about my Pastor, Corey Kope. Corey is not your stereo typical Pastor. Or at least he doesn’t look like the pastors of yore. He manages Venue Church with his Dream team of staff and volunteers. Venue church is also, not stereo typical. It looks and feels different then what you would expect of a modern day Christian Church.
I have only known Corey and my Church family for less then a year, and feel that I have grown as a person. Listen to this podcast and hear more about Venue, Pastor Corey and what he planned for great city. I also question him about a couple recent sermons.

Even though we have been family for 15+ years and live pretty close to each other. I can t express how much I love speaking to Tara. Listen to this episode and here about the music industry and the changes needed, so the artist are supported better. Find out if I should take a broadcasting course. We talked about hunting and first nations ceremonies surrounding the hunt. Then, inevitably, we ended up talking about diet and exercise. We finished the episode debating the benefits of universal income. I think everyone will agree. this episode is full of great conversation.

It funny how i got to meet and have a conversation with this powerful man of God, at a time when I am reading about Nehemiah. I think Sean is a Nehemiah. He is a man that we can all learn from. A man that has a heart for his people. A man that will fight for his friends and family. Come listen to his story and be encouraged. Hear how he became the Man he is today. I Want 2 Know how we are supporting abused women in my town. As it turns out I live in a town with one of the highest rates of domestic abuse in Canada.I had no Idea!!! It broke my heart to hear about the number of hurting families, right where I live. I ask Crystal Boys, Founder of Airdrie POWER (protecting our women with emergency resources), to come do the podcast and educate me. It was encouraging to know that we have people like Crystal that care enough to develop a program to support these families. Hear her story about surviving domestic violence and the ground breaking programs she has designed with her team. Hear what her view is on abusers and what they need.
